A leading nuclear power initiative in the UK is seeking a Plant Computing Lead to develop plant computing capabilities for a new power station. You will lead a team, define strategies for operations, and ensure compliance with safety standards. With a strong background in industrial control systems, this role is critical for the safe and efficient operation of the plant. Sizewell C is building the next generation of nuclear power in the UK. As we move through construction and towards commissioning and operations, we are creating the organisation that will run the plant safely and reliably for decades to come.
We are now looking for a Plant Computing Lead to play a central role in that journey.
This is a rare opportunity to shape how plant computing is set up, led and embedded in a brand new nuclear power station, from pre-operations through to live operations.
Contract: Permanent, full‑time.
Salary: ~£70k depending on experience.

The role
Reporting to the Engineering Programme Manager within Pre‑Operations, you will lead the development of plant computing capability for Sizewell C. This includes building and leading the plant computing team, defining strategy, processes and standards, and ensuring systems are ready to support safe, efficient operation of the station.
You will work closely with Instrumentation and Control, Engineering, Operations, Maintenance and Commissioning teams, representing the needs of the future operator and bringing operational thinking into every stage of delivery.
This role sits at the heart of the project and will influence how plant computing maintenance, reliability and obsolescence management are planned and delivered for years to come.
