A public sector organisation in Birmingham seeks an experienced People Business Partner to act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, embedding people priorities into decision-making and change programmes. The ideal candidate will have extensive HR experience, particularly in the transport sector, and a strong track record in influencing leaders and supporting organisational change. This role involves leading complex employee relations and developing people strategies to enhance performance and inclusion within a high-pressure environment. A relevant degree and CIPD level 5 qualification are required.

As a People Business Partner, you’ll be a trusted advisor to senior leaders, embedding people priorities into strategic decisions and change programmes. From organisational redesign to complex TUPE transfers, you’ll ensure every transition is delivered with clarity, fairness, and pace. You’ll use workforce insights to shape decisions, coach leaders to lead confidently through change, and champion wellbeing and inclusion at every stage.

The location for this role is 16 Summer Lane, Birmingham, B19 3SD with at least 2 days a week spent in the office and/or appropriate to the role.
