Job description
Join Monarch Healthcare as a Nursing Home Cook at Heeley Bank Care Home, where you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults and individuals living with dementia.
  • Hours: 4 shifts per week, shift times are 07:00-17:00
  • Rate of pay: Up to £13 per hour
  • Schedule: Rota basis, including alternate weekends and some bank holidays
  • Location: Sheffield, S2 (Please consider travel times, especially on weekends)

We are looking to speak with people who are passionate about cooking and providing a range of quality meals for the people who live within the care and nursing home. We will look to you to prepare and cook, hot and cold meals, taking into consideration dietary requirements and individual preferences. You will also provide leadership, support and supervision to the kitchen staff team.

Further responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain accurate records of food supplies and deliveries
  • Plan or contribute to menus with a focus on fresh ingredients and balanced nutrition
  • Stock rotation
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned, well maintained, and stored appropriately
  • Ensure the cleaning of the kitchen and dining areas are carried out effectively
