Our client's well established veterinary practice pride themselves on providing affordable and accessible veterinary care to all who need it and are currently seeking a dedicated Night Veterinary Surgeon to become an integral part of their compassionate and skilled team.

Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you will be entrusted with providing exemplary care to a diverse caseload, ensuring the well‑being of inpatients and emergency cases on the day and ensuring the peace of mind for their owners during the twilight hours. The hospital prides itself on its state‑of‑the‑art facilities and a supportive environment, with a dedicated night team, where continuous professional development is not just encouraged, but fully supported.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for veterinary medicine and a commitment to excellence in patient care. A minimum of two years’ experience in a veterinary practice is required, along with a valid RCVS registration. Proficiency in emergency surgery and the ability to make confident clinical decisions independently are essential, as are strong communication skills and the ability to work harmoniously within a team.

This role is full time, permanent working 7 nights on and 14 nights off, providing a unique chance to hone your skills in emergency and critical care, while enjoying a work‑life balance that daytime shifts often cannot offer.

The hospital is situated just 25 minutes by train from Manchester city centre and has fantastic public transport supporting their talented team commuting every day. There is also ample parking on site for car drivers and easy access to the M6 and M1 for travel further afield.
