Job Type / Category
  • Night Shifts
  • 48 Hours per week
Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care – Assisting with washing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene.
  • Mobility Support – Helping residents move safely, including transferring them from bed to wheelchair or assisting with walking.
  • Meal Assistance and Feeding – Assisting with eating, hydration and ensuring proper nutrition.
  • Household Tasks – Performing light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying.
  • Companionship – Providing social interaction, emotional support, and a listening ear.
  • Monitoring Health – Observing and reporting any changes in a resident’s physical or mental health to relevant colleagues and healthcare professionals.
  • Assistance with Activities – Helping residents participate in activities they enjoy, such as hobbies, social events, and outings.
  • Updating Care Plans – Ensuring that documentation is updated as the needs of residents change and passing on these changes to the management team.
  • Following Care Plans – Adhering to specific care plans developed to meet individual needs.
  • Communication – Effectively communicating with the resident, their family, medical professionals and other members of the home team.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
  • NVQ in health and social care is preferable.
