A music education service is seeking a Music Instructor for Violin and Viola in Kemnay. The role involves teaching students in group and individual settings, preparing them for exams, and participating in a supportive team of music instructors. The ideal candidate will have experience in music education and a passion for fostering children's musical development in a variety of school environments.
Music Instructor – Violin / Viola
Aberdeenshire Instrumental Music Service seeks an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work 14 hours per week in Kemnay Academy and surrounding primary schools.
Key responsibilities include preparing for exams and extra‑curricular activities and delivering individual and group lessons, including digital delivery where possible. The successful candidate will work as part of a team of music instructors within Aberdeenshire schools.
This post is regulated work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months in the last 5 years outside the UK, an Overseas Criminal Record Check must be obtained – the candidate is responsible for obtaining this check. A confirmed offer of employment is dependent on the outcome of both checks being satisfactory.
