Overview

HGV Technician Mobile, Merseyside

Salary: £17.40 per hour plus 5% bonus paid biannually

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:00 - 16:30

About The Role
  • Carry out on-site servicing and repairs using comprehensive system specialist knowledge and a high diagnostic authority. Attend customer locations daily and manage your time efficiently between sites, reacting to urgent and reported defects promptly and efficiently.
  • Attend customer sites to service and repair vehicles on customer premises.
  • Ensure all defects reported by the customer are actioned.
  • Conduct fleet checks on customers' vehicles whilst managing your time effectively around customer deadlines and schedules.
  • Carry out independently extensive orders for repair and re-establishing the serviceability of the customer's vehicle.
  • Ensure vehicles are safe to use.
  • Speak with customers and examine vehicles to diagnose problems with specialist diagnostic equipment.
  • If possible, fix the fault on-site and if necessary, arrange for the vehicle to be taken to and repaired in the workshop.
  • Complete servicing in line with manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records as required for each job carried out.
Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a similar Mobile Technician/Mechanic role, ideally in a main dealership environment.
  • NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance qualification in either Heavy Goods Vehicles or Light Vehicles, depending on role.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • HGV licence (desirable).
  • Extensive experience with diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience with electric vehicles.
