Qualifications

  • Strong SQL skills, including views, functions and stored procedures.
  • Experience working with SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS and ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of data integrity, data management and audit requirements.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and support colleagues using MIS systems.
  • Highly organised with a proactive, problem-solving approach.

Role: MIS Systems and BI Developer

Hours: 36.25 hours week

Salary: Business Support Scale 7 (£33,024 - £35,103)

Employer Pension Contribution: 20.8%

Location: Stockport

The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced MIS Systems and BI Developer to join the MIS Systems and Business Intelligence team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.

The Role

Are you ready to use your technical expertise to drive smarter decision‑making? Join us as an MIS Systems and BI Developer and play a key role in developing the data systems that support student success and operational excellence across The Trafford & Stockport College Group.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and develop core MIS systems, databases and interfaces
  • Co‑ordinate software upgrades, patches, and new system installations
  • Automate manual processes to improve accuracy and reliability of MIS data
  • Maintain and support the Group’s SQL‑based data warehouse and reporting solutions
  • Work with the team to deliver dashboards, operational reports, and management insight
  • Monitor backups, maintain documentation, and ensure data integrity and GDPR compliance
About you / Qualifications
