Ruthin School is seeking a compassionate and highly organised Medical Centre Coordinator to manage the day‑to‑day operation of the school’s Medical Centre and to provide high‑quality medical and pastoral support to students.

This is a key role within the school’s pastoral structure, requiring professionalism, discretion and a calm, caring approach.

About the role

The Medical Centre Coordinator is responsible for the smooth running of the school’s Medical Centre, providing administrative support, compliance assurance and non‑clinical coordination. Working closely with the team of School Nurses, the role supports students’ physical, mental and emotional health and wellbeing and plays an important part in the wider pastoral life of the school.

Contract and benefits
  • Contract type: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm, term time only
  • Part‑time applications will also be considered
  • Salary: £28,000 per annum FTE
  • Start date: ASAP

The ideal candidate will:
  • Provide confidential health advice as appropriate
  • Provide first aid to students, and to staff in emergencies
  • Manage visitors to the Medical Centre, including answering the phone and arranging appointments
  • Maintain accurate, confidential and secure medical records, including those of boarders
  • Support the day‑to‑day administration and organisation of the Medical Centre
  • Maintain stocks and supplies for the Medical Room
  • Maintain regular communication with office and boarding staff
