A specialist vehicle manufacturer in Glasgow is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support their Engineering department. This role involves developing versatile vehicle conversions, requiring solid design expertise along with experience in R&D within an automotive context. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in 3D CAD and a degree in Mechanical Engineering. We are now recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering department.
You will work as part of a team in the specification and development of Allied Vehicles’ current range of Minibus, Taxi and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle conversions (WAV’s). This will include design, research & development, prototyping, creation of BoM’s and the updating of necessary documentation, including project plans.
You will work Monday to Thursday, with flexible start and finishing times between 7am and 6pm, totalling 37.5 hours per week. The salary is up to £45k per annum dependant on experience.

Previous experience of working in a WAV/Bus/Coachbuilding role would be advantageous but is not essential.
