Job summary

A UK manufacturing firm is seeking a Maintenance Technician. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience and essential qualifications in electrical or mechanical fields. Responsibilities include carrying out maintenance on manufacturing equipment, fault finding, and general repairs. A flexible attitude and good communication skills are essential. This is a full-time position with management responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must have served a recognised apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical or electro-mechanical basis.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a multi-skilled industrial environment.
• BS7671 IEE 18 TH Edition Wiring certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure required maintenance is completed as per compliance.
• Carry out PPM schedules and reporting on manufacturing equipment.
• React to breakdown repairs and health & safety issues.

Maintenance Technician – ProDriven Global Brands

Mid-Senior level, Full-time, Management and Manufacturing (Manufacturing industry)

Responsibilities

• Works with Supervisor to ensure required maintenance is completed and performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/management. That performance is in compliance with the Expectation Plan for the Maintenance Department.
• Proactively carry out PPM schedules and reporting on a wide variety of manufacturing equipment.
• Carry out fault finding on manufacturing equipment and be reactive to breakdown repairs/health & safety issues.
• Carry out general repairs to building and facilities.
• Carry out continuous improvement plans.
• This job outline does not place a limitation on the duties of this role. The multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer may be required to carry out reasonable, additional or alternative duties from time to time to ensure the efficient functioning of the Company.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Must have served a recognised apprenticeship in an electrical/mechanical or electro‑mechanical basis and have gained a minimum C&G level 3 or NVQ equivalent, BTEC or ONC.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience ideally working within a multi‑skilled industrial environment.
• BS7671 IEE 18 TH Edition Wiring.

Essential Experience

• Well organised, good interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in a multi‑skilled industrial environment.
• Good working knowledge/fault finding skills of Hydraulics, Pneumatics and electrical circuits.
• Good problem‑solving skills.
• Good working Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations is important.

Desirable extra qualifications, skills or experience
IOSH safety qualification, Computer literate, MEWP licence, FLT licence, C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing, TExT LEV P601.
