Job description

Our studios/offices are based in Redditch, Worcestershire, B98 9HF – you must be able to comfortably commute to this location without having to relocate.

We are looking for a dynamic and skilled Floor Manager to produce live TV for the growing Gemporia Craft side of the business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for flooring up to 8 hours of Live TV every day on Jewellery Maker, Sewing Street and Hobby Maker.

You will be working collaboratively with our Directors, Producers and Presenting team, often in a high‑pressured environment where time management and attention to detail are essential. This fast‑paced business has a pivotal focus on what our current, potential, and future customers want and need. Adaptability and problem solving will be crucial for the successful candidate. You will command excellent communication and organisational skills, work well within our existing team structure, and have a proven ability to learn new skills and a passion for producing high‑quality output.

Responsibilities
  • Create high quality and engaging TV.
  • Organise the studio.
  • Work closely with the Director, Producer and Presenter to ensure the best possible output.
  • Stock management and pick stock for the shows.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure we have product for the show.
  • Ensure that product displays look professional and to a high standard at all times.
  • Manage and prioritise workload in an effective manner.
  • Use initiative to step in when necessary.
  • Strong social skills and confidence in approaching and working closely with Presenters and Guests.
  • Develop ideas and have a strong creative vision.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Experience in studio work preferable.
  • Proficiency using Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Team Player – works as part of a team to achieve common goals through shared ambition, communication, and collaboration.
  • Actively contributes to the team, understands team goals and how they fit in.
  • Excellent communication skills – interpersonal, written and verbal.
  • Self‑motivated with a high level of initiative and sense of urgency.
  • Communicates with honesty and kindness and creates space for others to do the same.
  • Experience and willingness to travel.

This role is based on a 7 day fortnight (week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday – week 2 Wednesday and Thursday)

Salary £19,947 per annum
