Job Summary

SLB is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Liner Hanger Field Specialist/Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, execution, and troubleshooting of liner hanger operations at the wellsite, ensuring service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This position forms part of a 30‑person completions team.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
  • Execute liner hanger installations and related services at the wellsite in accordance with SLB procedures and client requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain equipment, tools, and documentation for field operations.
  • Collaborate with clients, drilling contractors, and SLB teams to ensure smooth job execution.
  • Monitor and report operational performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during field operations.
  • Ensure compliance with SLB safety standards and policies.
  • Provide post-job analysis and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor junior field engineers and specialists as needed.
Essential Requirements & Qualifications
  • 5–10+ years of liner hanger experience, ideally with exposure to a range of systems and operational environments.
  • HND or HNC in Engineering preferred; exemptions may be considered for exceptional candidates with extensive field experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex downhole tool issues under pressure.
  • Strong communication and client‑facing skills, with the ability to represent SLB professionally at the wellsite.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Report writing skills are essential.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • PC skills to include general Microsoft Suite, Excel, Word, Outlook etc.
  • A valid right to work status in the UK is required.
