The Role

This role is to deliver high-quality costs support across a broad range of publicly funded and inter partes matters. The successful candidate will take ownership of preparing and submitting detailed bills and claims under Legal Aid and CCMS schemes, managing high-cost case plans, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks. With structured mentorship, ongoing training, and a clear path for internal progression, this position offers both technical challenge and long-term career development within a supportive and well-respected environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage CCMS billing, including interim and final submissions
  • Draft high-cost case plans (full and events-based)
  • Submit interim and final claims under Legal Help and Certificated schemes
  • Liaise with fee earners on appeals and ensure timely submissions
  • Maintain accurate billing records to support cash flow and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with SAR, LAA, LEXCEL, and other regulatory standards

  • Knowledge and understanding of Legal Aid and other systems of public legal funding
