Job description
The Role

An exciting opportunity for a brand‑focused administrator to join Superdry’s highly regarded in‑house legal team has arisen. The legal team sits at the heart of the business and works in close, trusted partnership with key decision‑makers. Our team plays a pivotal and highly visible role in empowering and supporting Superdry to deliver success. The role will support commercial legal, IP and company secretarial matters.

We are looking for a passionate, engaging, delivery‑focused person to support and underpin our business‑wide legal, brand protection and IP strategy work. Working in close partnership with our teams and external partners around the world, the role covers a broad remit, embracing the way in which Superdry organises and manages its workflows, documents, and deadlines to ensure that we maintain strong levels of document and process management.

The role will report to our Senior Legal Counsel and will be primarily based at Superdry’s Head Office in Cheltenham. As a preference you will wish to attend the Head Office location daily but at a minimum you will need to be able to do so three days a week.

You Will
  • Support the commercial legal team with documents and contract management, including database management, contract lifecycle management and the co‑ordination of workflows and new instructions in our Legal Hub.
  • Support with all types of team legal admin including printing, scanning and database searching. Support in managing deadlines and activities across the team, including assisting in the printing and collation of documents for signature.
  • Support in the ongoing protection of Superdry’s registered rights by administering the filing and prosecution of new trademarks, domain names and other IP.
  • Become fully entrenched in the management of Superdry’s IP and Brand Protection matter management systems in WebTMS and DH Anticounterfeit.
  • Work with Superdry’s clearance and monitoring technology to identify potential risks to Superdry’s IP.
  • Work with trademark offices, outside counsel and international advisors on the process, procedure and documentation needed to effect trademark registry actions and proceedings worldwide.
  • Support in document and evidence collation for IP and brand protection litigation matters.
  • Manage external suppliers, including the budget and invoicing processes.
  • Have an agile approach to work and a flexible approach to who and how you support the Superdry business.
You Are
  • A highly organised and diligent administrator with a strong attention to detail.
  • Experienced in managing a varied workload and excellent at prioritising tasks and competing interests.
  • Not necessarily from a legal background, but with an interest in legal work.
  • Confident of dealing with external counsel and advisors on a global basis.
  • Able to work effectively with technology (with a working knowledge of systems such as IPPO (WebTMS) and Trademark Now being a real advantage), but also competent at reviewing and assessing the benefits of new tech solutions and assimilating and presenting data in an effective and engaging way.
  • li>A strong and clear communicator who is collaborative in their approach and able to build rapport with key stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Someone with excellent presentation skills.
  • Computer literate, particularly with MS Office.
