Job Description

Assystem Energy & Infrastructure is recruiting a Senior Planner to work at our client's site in Derby on a contract basis.

You will define planning standards, establish scheduling governance and assurance, implement the planning process, and maintain Primavera P6 for the business. You will collaborate with Programme Teams to provide guidance, support, and monitor progress throughout the programme lifecycle, facilitating accurate and timely management information.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, scheduling (P6), and supporting management information systems.
• Facilitating development and maintenance of the programme schedule (Integrated Milestone Plan and Master Schedule).
• Supporting and developing Primavera P6 layouts, coding, and UDFs.
• Managing permissions and EPS structure.
• Ensuring scope logic links with wider work scope, tracking dependencies, and reporting deviations with exception reports.
• Facilitating project planning, risk, and opportunity meetings.
• Assisting in developing and managing the schedule Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB).
• Collecting programme status data to update schedules and generate management reports, including schedule variance analysis and critical path analysis.
• Supporting SRA software training and deployment within programmes.
• Working with control accounts and stakeholders to ensure robust risk modelling processes.

Candidate Profile

• Expert in Project Planning and Primavera P6.
• Experience working in an integrated project team, ideally within engineering, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors.
• Experience leading software adoption and implementation within project teams.
• Proficient in developing multi-project schedules using Primavera P6 with logical dependencies.
• Experience delivering training and pursuing professional qualifications (e.g., APM, HND, Foundation Degree).
• Ability to produce accurate work within SLAs, work independently, and resolve issues.
• Skilled in managing multiple tasks, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines.

Security Clearance

This role requires a minimum of Security Check (SC) clearance without caveats. The candidate must be a UK national or, in MoD-approved cases, a dual national from a non-ITAR country.
