Job description
KS2 Teacher (Reception Teacher – Maternity Cover)

Location: Oasis Academy Connaught

Start Date: January 2026

Contract: Fixed term until 31/08/2026

Salary: Main pay scale (M1 £32,916 – M6 £45,352) + Teacher's Pension Scheme

Hours: Full-time (32.5 hours per week, Monday‑Friday)

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and well‑structured lessons that inspire and challenge young learners.
  • Foster a safe, purposeful and stimulating learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external partners to ensure every child thrives.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in EYFS or KS1.
  • Proven ability to raise standards and deliver high‑quality teaching.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Positive proactive approach to behaviour management and pupil progress.
