The Role of Kitchen Assistant

The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for supporting the kitchen team to ensure a clean and hygienic environment. They will ensure the kitchen is well organised, enable efficient work, maintain all standards, and collaborate safely at all times. The role supports the chef brigade and offers opportunities to develop basic kitchen skills. Responsibilities also include putting deliveries away, stock rotation, and showcasing strong organisation and adaptability.

The role is hands‑on for someone flexible who enjoys supporting the delivery of a great food experience and being part of a strong team.

The Kitchen Assistant will ideally have experience in a kitchen environment, but if you have the drive and want to learn, we will help you develop and grow skills.

Job Overview

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen team, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food preparation. You will assist chefs with basic food prep, maintain hygiene and safety standards, and help keep the kitchen organised.

Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial.
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene (Food Hygiene Certificate is a plus).
