Job summary

A leading alloys supplier in Sheffield is seeking an Inside Sales Engineer to join their team. Your responsibilities will include learning industry grades, reviewing specifications and drawings, generating quotations, and managing accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and numeracy skills, alongside a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided for those without prior steel industry experience. Job description

Special Quality Alloys is a market leader in supplying the oil and gas industries with forged and rolled products in nickel based super alloys and special stainless steels. This family run business is part of the Special Steel Group of Companies.

Due to our continuous growth, we are looking for an Inside Sales Engineer in both our Domestic and International Markets.

Duties include
  • Learning industry grades and products offered.
  • Reviewing enquiries, material specification, BOM’s and drawings.
  • Generating and forwarding quotations.
  • Account Management - follow up and negotiation.
  • Raising of sales orders.
Skills Required

Candidates should be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn. Strong communication & numeracy skills in addition to a good level of computer literacy will all be essential to this role. Experience in the steel industry is not essential as full training will be provided.
