Debbie Burbage Recruitment are delighted to be working exclusively with a well‑established and growing organisation based in Milton Keynes, who are seeking an experienced HR and Payroll Advisor to join their team. This is a key role within the business, is essential that the successful candidate is fluent in spoken and written Polish. The position offers a varied and responsible remit, supporting HR and payroll activities and calls for a highly organised individual with strong attention to detail and a high level of discretion.

Reporting To The Financial Controller, Duties Include
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including interviews when needed
  • Take on full responsibility of onboarding, including the completion of contract templates and Right to Work checks
  • Maintain employee records and update HR databases.
  • Provide first‑line advice on HR policies, procedures and best practices
  • Handle basic employee queries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll.
  • Payroll preparation and ensure accuracy of employee data.
  • Support investigations, disciplinary meetings, grievances and capability cases and other HR related matters, attending and participating as required
  • Coordinate exit and termination, including exit interviews and final payroll adjustments
  • Escalate complex matters to the Financial Controller as appropriate
  • Manage Ad‑hoc contracts, such as mobile phones
  • Producing weekly reports
  • Assist in organising staff events, attending committee meetings
  • Assisting when required with company credit card receipts, supplier payment runs, ad‑hoc invoices, expense claims, and purchase orders. Liaise with vendors and suppliers for payment queries.
  • Ad‑hoc projects as required
The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have fluent Polish speaking and writing skills, enabling effective communication with Polish speaking employees and vendors. They will be highly organised, able to multitask effectively, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word, and experience using HR and finance software. They will be comfortable handling confidential information with discretion and will have previous experience in an HR support role. Experience using ADP HR and payroll systems, along with prior payroll experience, would be advantageous.

Remuneration

Salary: £33,000 - £39,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Mon - Fri
