Qualifications

Are you an HR Advisor looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, covering all elements of HR? Would you like to join a large company where you really can have a positive impact?

We’re looking for a HR Advisor to assist our HR team in leading and implementing our people plan at our City Plumbing Supplies site in Warrington. We are looking for someone that can help drive a culture of positive engagement whilst spinning many plates at one time.

You’ll be working Monday – Friday, between the hours of 09:00 – 17:00. However, we would also be willing to consider part-time working hours for the right candidate.

We’re looking to pay £32,000 per annum with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • Day-to-day you will provide a first level advisory service to the site team. You’ll be supporting the delivery of the People Agenda to align culture, talent, structure and processes
  • Provide HR support and advice to managers and employees for the CPS contract
  • Drive and promote Employee Engagement and Health & Wellbeing initiatives
  • Ensure legal compliance with all HR practices and be aware of any employment law changes and update processes as appropriate
  • Create a culture of innovation and problem solving amongst Managers and employees
  • Build harmonious relationships with any Trade Union to ensure optimum working efficiency
What you need to succeed at GXO:
  • Experience of working in a similar fast-paced HR team, ideally within a logistics or distribution environment, dealing with complex ER cases
  • CIPD Level 3 qualified, or working towards
  • Experience of undertaking a broad range of tasks including working with and advising line managers on employee relations issues and being involved in setting up processes and systems
  • Some knowledge of employment law with experience working within unionised environments
