Housekeeper – Nursery Operations

Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Compensation: £25,397 / year

Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm (15 hours per week)

What you’ll be doing…
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all nursery areas, including playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces.
  • Carrying out daily cleaning routines: mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising.
  • Restocking cleaning and hygiene supplies and notifying management when orders are needed.
  • Supporting with laundry and linen changes as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety and infection control standards.
  • Helping keep our nursery environments warm, tidy, and welcoming.
  • Working closely with the wider team to uphold our high cleanliness standards.
  • Following all relevant policies and procedures for safeguarding and safety.
Our Housekeepers should have…
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping, cleaning, or facilities role.
  • A proactive and reliable approach with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong time‑management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Understanding of basic health & safety and COSHH guidelines (training provided if needed).
  • A warm, friendly attitude and team spirit – you’ll be a key part of the nursery community.
  • A willingness to complete any necessary training.
