A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the team of the Medical High Care Unit at Salford Royal Hospital.
Are you a well‑motivated and enthusiastic hardworking individual to undertake the supportive role of Housekeeper and administrative personnel for the MHCU?
The MHCU is an 8‑bedded unit, caring for acutely unwell patients requiring single organ support including cardiac monitoring. The unit holds a GREEN status within the Inpatient Assessment & Accreditation System (IPAAS), maintaining a high standard of patient care and cleanliness which is an important part of our daily organization on the unit.
The post provides an exciting challenge to the successful candidate and gives the opportunity to play a key role in supporting the needs of the MHCU nursing team.
You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise across multi agencies and multi‑disciplinary departments.
Experience of working with the general public is essential.
The ability to work independently and adapt to an environment of changing priorities is an essential component to consistently facilitate a patient‑focused approach.

You will be working with a fantastic and supportive team who will be happy to assist you as you settle within the team. Regular feedback and one‑to‑one will be provided by your manager to ensure that you stay happy in your job.
Duties include stocking up, maintenance of equipment, ordering and maintaining stores, some ward clerk admin duties, including general housekeeping and audits to support within the unit.
It is essential that you are able to work in an orderly and systematic manner, possess good literacy, IT, numeracy, communication and organisational skills.
You should have a caring attitude, as well as the ability to work effectively under direction as part of a multidisciplinary team.
