Job Summary

Health Care Support Workers provide high-quality, compassionate care under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals. You will support patients across Airedale and Bradford units, ensuring dignity, safety, and wellbeing while contributing to a supportive ward environment.

Main Duties
  • Provide personal care (hygiene, mobility, nutrition, emotional wellbeing)
  • Assist with clinical observations, emergency procedures, and therapeutic interventions
  • Support admissions and discharges, maintaining accurate records
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Record patient information and assist with administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe ward environments
  • Engage patients in daily activities (shopping, cooking, appointments)
  • Promote safety and safeguarding, reporting concerns per Trust policy
  • Work flexibly across wards to meet service needs
  • Support new staff induction and quality improvement initiatives

Person Specification

Qualifications (Essential):

  • NVQ2 training or equivalent experience
