The Howletts Wild Animal Trust, which oversees Howletts Wild Animal Park and Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, is excited to launch a brand‑new position: Head of Digital Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Lead digital strategy and drive growth across all products and services, shaping the customer journey, maximising engagement, and delivering measurable revenue growth across day visits, short breaks, weddings & events, experiences, and fundraising initiatives.
- Develop and execute integrated digital marketing strategies spanning paid media, SEO, email, social, and website optimisation, ensuring campaigns are data‑driven, highly targeted, and optimised for conversion.
- Collaborate closely with Brand, PR, and Technology teams to deliver innovative campaigns and seamless digital experiences.
- Lead and develop a growing digital team, manage budgets, and champion the use of technology and analytics to inform strategy.
- Play a pivotal role in the digital transformation agenda, including new website development, advanced CRM segmentation, and marketing automation, ensuring the highest standards of customer experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital marketing, including at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through digital channels, ideally within e‑commerce, hospitality, travel, leisure, or visitor attractions.
- Expertise across paid search, paid social, SEO, email, conversion optimisation, and CRM, with strong hands‑on experience using HubSpot.
- Experience managing budgets and delivering strong ROI; highly analytical and comfortable using tools such as GA4, Tag Manager and other marketing automation platforms to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Collaborative, adaptable leadership style capable of inspiring a team, working across departments, and delivering seamless customer experiences across multiple digital touchpoints.
Contract Details
- Competitive salary depending on experience.
- Full‑time, permanent position.
- 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with a 30‑minute paid lunch break.
- Occasional weekend work may be required for special events or seasonal campaigns.
- Hybrid working may be available, dependent on business needs.
- Role based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve near Folkestone and Ashford; occasional work at Howletts Wild Animal Park may be required.
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK; a reliable mode of transport is recommended due to the remote location.
