Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Global Pricing Analyst in London who will be responsible for successfully constructing complex Managed Print Services (MPS) and New Services priced proposals to win and retain business with Ricoh’s largest global accounts (Global Focus Accounts (GFAs), Global Select Accounts (GSAs) and Global Target Accounts (ZBAs)).

In this role you will be utilising the necessary global pricing tools and processes. Proposals are made both proactively and in response to client Request for Pricing (RFP), but always require adherence to challenging timescales and a high level of numerical accuracy.

What you will be doing
  • Review GXA Client pricing requirements for tenders and pro-active proposals and ensure that the constructed pricing is:
  • with the win strategy and the price, profitability and risk levels determined by the business.
  • Based on known, rational and verifiable assumptions.
  • Submitted in compliance with the format required by the Client.
  • Prepared using the RGS Global Pricing Tool (GPT) to ensure accuracy, comparability and reproducibility of the submission; and peer reviewed to identify and minimise errors.
  • In conjunction with the assigned Global Deal Manager:
  • Complete Key Deal Metrics and analysis of customers’ print fleet data in order to support deal qualification and advise on proposal win strategies.
  • Prepare and submit proposal pricing to Clients, flagging risks and assumptions and recommending mitigation where appropriate.
  • Create and present commercial deal analyses, including recommending strategies and margins, supported by quantitative and qualitative data, to management for review and approval.
  • Provide expert advice to select the most cost effective and competitive products in compliance with customer specifications and requirements (including compatibility with proposed Ricoh technical solutions), selecting the optimal quantity of each device type for lowest TCO and managing the strategic positioning of pricing support to meet Client win prices.
  • Ensure that the Pricing Quality Assurance (PQA) process is followed.
  • Able to navigate and prepare any RGS pricing tool for new line-of-business areas.
  • Complete defined projects, contributing to the ongoing development of the business area.
  • Maintain Client documents and ensure they are up to date.
You will ideally have
  • Ideally candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification with preference given to subjects studied in Science/Engineering/Business (preferred) with emphasis on numeracy.
  • Technical Excel Ability: Very advanced Excel skills, including ability to construct accurate bespoke complex financial modelling, working with large forms of data and complex formulas in template-based and bespoke pricing models. VBA, SQL, or other database skills preferable.
  • Commercial Acumen: Excellent analytical, questioning, reasoning and decision-making skills, coupled with a strong appreciation for the business impact (Ricoh and the Client) of decisions made. The ability to identify and solve problems, particularly in scenarios requiring both logical and lateral thinking. The mental agility to absorb, conceptualise and adapt pricing approaches for Clients and new line of business areas, based on pricing experience.
  • Discipline & Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and the self-organisational skills to deal with the requirements of working on large tenders with tight deadlines. Works with a level of care and diligence, producing complex financial models with in-built cross-checking mechanisms to keep computational errors to a minimum.
  • Strategic Thought: Understands, develops and actively contributes to winning proposal strategy which is both relevant and deliverable, across both written and numerical aspects.
  • Financial Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of financial terminology (e.g. Present Value, residuals, leasing). Familiarity with basic management accounting concepts (particularly Profit & Loss statements) and experience of reviewing their component elements.
