DEPARTMENT: BBC Studios Finance
LOCATION: London - Television Centre
PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: Circa £50,000 plus £5,441 London Weighting depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Join our Consumer Products Finance team and play a pivotal role in strengthening the financial backbone behind some of our most iconic global brands. As a Finance Business Analyst – Consumer Products Royalties you’ll drive accurate monthly reporting, insightful analysis, and commercial support across UK and EMEA, supporting teams in making confident commercial decisions and elevating operational excellence.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
  • Lead and support month‑end and quarter‑end activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and audit engagement.
  • Deliver accurate royalty, commission, and brand reporting across UK, EMEA, and global markets, ensuring strong data integrity.
  • Partner with agents and licensees, managing commission processes, onboarding, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Provide commercial analysis and operational support to Sales, Billing, Talent Accounting, and Legal teams.
  • Support forecasting cycles, consolidating inputs from sales teams and agents to produce reliable forward‑looking insights.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • Experience supporting month‑end processes, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
  • Strong experience in financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting within a commercial environment.
  • Ability to manage large datasets with high accuracy and maintain robust internal controls.
  • Confident working with cross‑functional stakeholders, including Sales, Legal, Billing, and external partners.
  • Proficiency with financial systems and tools, with a willingness to learn new platforms (e.g., MyMediaBox).
DESIRED BUT NOT REQUIRED
  • Experience engaging with licensees, agents, or commercial partners across multiple regions.
  • Familiarity with AI‑driven analytics tools such as Power BI or Power Query.
