The Role

Following expansion, the company seeks a technically motivated and customer focused Field Service Engineer responsible for:

  • The service and breakdown repair on a wide range of sophisticated medical and laboratory diagnostic systems used within pathology departments, NHS laboratories and clinical chemistry environments.
  • Visiting customer sites and providing customers with valuable solutions for troubleshooting.
  • Liaising with a host of external customer contacts, including laboratory managers and technicians from within the NHS and a range of private independent scientific organisations and laboratories.
Background & Qualifications
  • A competent background as a field service engineer or technical support engineer with extensive experience working on high-value capital equipment and a qualification in electronics.
  • Experience working on diagnostic systems, medical devices, laboratory systems, scientific equipment, or in industries such as pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, pre-press, printing, or high-value electronic/electro-mechanical capital equipment.
  • Full product training will be provided; if your background in field service and customer support differs, applications will still be considered.
