Engineering Technical Officer
Location: Stirling, Western Australia
Type: 12-month Parental Leave Cover – Full Time
Start Date: First or second week of January 2026
Salary: From $96,731 base salary + Super

You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Stirling’s city centre, working on road safety and road improvement projects that drive community growth and improvement. This is a unique opportunity to apply your specialised traffic engineering knowledge in a dynamic, supportive team, while covering parental leave for 12 months.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Investigate and design traffic engineering solutions
  • Deliver strategic projects for city centre growth
  • Respond to customer service requests with expertise
  • Prepare and issue construction plans using AutoCAD
  • Assess parking and line marking requests
  • Liaise with stakeholders and community groups
  • Prepare cost estimates and bills of quantities
  • Maintain project data and documentation

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a technical officer with a passion for strategic traffic engineering. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Advanced AutoCAD and design software skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Responsive and adaptive customer service approach
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Valid White Card and Driver’s Licence
