Job summary

A community organization in Leeds is looking for a full-time Employer Engagement Worker to enhance their sensory service. The successful candidate will build relationships with key stakeholders, identify job opportunities, and promote the service at networking events. They must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to support sensory impaired individuals. A welcoming application process is in place for all candidates, including those using BSL.

Job description

We are seeking a full time Employer Engagement Worker to join our Leeds Sensory Service.

As part of the role you will:

  • To identify and engage with key stakeholders including employers, DWP Job Centre Plus and training providers in order to build and maintain relationships. Build a bank of employers willing to provide live vacancies, work placements and training opportunities.
  • Identify live job vacancies and opportunities advertised by other organisations and work with the in house employment team to ensure these job vacancies are shared with their clients.
  • To attend networking events including breakfast meetings and jobs fairs in order to promote the service.

To be successful for this post:

  • Excellent Communication and presentation skills
  • Able to promote the service, and encourage organisations and sensory impaired people to access the project
  • Have the skills to work directly with sensory impaired people providing one to one support when needed.
