Job summary

About the Role:

The Team:

The Servicer Evaluations team maintains rankings and publishes research for mortgage, loan, and other servicing clients. Our rankings provide an opinion of a servicer's operational strengths, weaknesses, and overall abilities to service mortgages, loans, or other assets compared to its peers.

The Impact:

We are seeking a self‑motivated senior professional with robust analytical and communication skills who will meet with and manage servicer client relationships, create committee presentations, write rationales and press releases to publicly announce servicer ranking actions, and maintain the systems of record and databases. We collaborate with our RMBS, CMBS, and other global ratings teams to keep each other current with industry trends.

Responsibilities:
  • Drive strategic communication and build lasting relationships with other ranking analysts and our clients' executives, line managers, and staff across various functional areas.
  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize client provided data to propose new rankings or recommend changes to existing rankings that are consistent with our analytical approach and industry trends.
  • Prepare necessary information for committee presentations to ensure timely release of rankings.
  • Publish ranking rationales, full analyses, market commentaries, and industry reports.
  • Foster collaboration with team members and supporting functions, including publishing, operations, communications, and marketing to ensure the integrity, transparency, and timeliness of our rankings.
  • Maintain the accuracy of internal systems that support the rankings process, adhere to internal quality measures, and mentor and guide analysts as directed.
  • All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of 2 days per week.
What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in finance, economics, operations, business management, communications, or English.
  • An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 10+ years of relevant work experience in loan servicing, operations, audit, finance, research, accounting, mortgage lending, or commercial or consumer credit.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives independently while excelling as a collaborative team member.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Analytical, problem‑solving, time‑management and personnel‑management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.) and AI.
  • Advanced Excel skills and willingness to adapt to and incorporate AI into your analysis are preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize competing tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy of data.
  • Strong customer service orientation with experience managing complex client relationships.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • We require all candidates who reach the final stage of our interview process to attend at least one in‑person interview, which is ordinarily at your nearest S&P Global Ratings office. This must be completed before we can proceed to an offer.
