Overview
Housing Management Coordinator role in Exeter. Home, a place where you belong. You’ll help people who’ve experienced homelessness settle into safe, well-maintained homes they can be proud of.
Responsibilities
- Ensure our customers’ properties are homes they can be proud of and engage them in their licence agreements.
- Help customers with housing benefit claims, ensuring these are reflected on their rent account.
- Issue warning letters or attend court when needed.
- Prepare rooms for new customers and maintain maximum occupancy by turning around vacant or void rooms within set timescales.
- Maintain compliance with maintenance and health and safety standards.
- Use the role to shape better lives and stronger communities with supported tools, training and a trusted environment.
You’ll have
- Experience in managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord and housing management duties.
- Know-how of re-letting rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
- Ability to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to colleagues.
- Ability to work on your own initiative and positively influence people from diverse backgrounds.
- Confident working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and with external partners.
- Four week rolling rota to include one in every three weekends, working 11.5 hour shifts, 3-4 days per week.
- Base location at our services in Exeter.
- Use technology for support plans, benefit claims and tenancy sign-ups.
- Enhanced DBS check is required and we pay for it.
Requirements
- Experience in housing management and tenant relations.
