Job description
Overview

The Design and Technical teams are involved in all aspects of housing design and innovation, researching the best materials at the best cost. The team works on diverse sites, including existing buildings, with unique problems to solve, and focuses on new materials, sustainability and value amid changing building and environmental legislation. Most team members have an architectural or engineering background, with opportunities to gain expertise in design and project management in a thought-provoking setting.

You will provide support across all areas of the design, regulation and planning process, working closely with colleagues and third parties to ensure developments are delivered.

Responsibilities
  • Provide architectural support to a number of different developments.
  • Produce and amend site layouts.
  • Gain building regulation approvals for allocated developments.
  • Assist with planning applications; deliver and co-ordinate working drawings.
  • Prepare specifications.
  • Collate and organise technical information.
  • Support provision of technical information for site starts.
  • Investigate technical problems encountered and provide viable economical solutions.
  • Attend site meetings as required.
  • Comply with responsibilities as defined in the Group’s Health, Safety & Environment Policy and ensure compliance throughout the team.
  • Implement new ideas and methods to improve contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhance the company’s reputation.
