A leading UK housebuilder is seeking a talented professional in the United Kingdom to coordinate design projects, manage external consultants, and obtain necessary building approvals. Candidates should have a Civil or Building Engineering background with strong technical knowledge in construction. The role emphasizes problem-solving, communication, and technical skills using AutoCAD/Revit. We offer a hybrid working model and various benefits including a competitive bonus scheme and private medical cover.
The Design and Technical teams are involved in all aspects of housing design and innovation, researching the best materials at the best cost. The team faces varied site contexts (many using existing buildings) with unique problems to solve, and a focus on new materials, sustainability and value within evolving building and environmental legislation. Most team members have an architectural or engineering background, and there is an opportunity to develop expertise in design and project management in a thought-provoking setting. Reporting to the Technical Manager, this role coordinates external design consultants, obtains building control approvals, discharges planning conditions, procures mains services, provides Construction Issue drawings for site starts and supports site operations.
