A leading tutoring company in London is seeking a qualified Education Consultant to support students with special educational needs. This role involves managing student caseloads, liaising with tutors, and ensuring high-quality education. Ideal candidates will have Qualified Teacher Status and experience with SEN. The position offers a salary range of £33,500 – £36,500, along with a performance bonus and hybrid working options.
Education Consultant (Schools and Local Authorities) – Bright Heart Education. Bright Heart is an award-winning, London-based tutoring company offering a nurturing, personalised approach to tuition and learning support. We specialise in helping students with SEN, SEMH challenges, and those with EHCPs to realise their potential through tailored, compassionate tutoring.
We are proud winners of the Tuition Business of the Year award at the National Tutoring Awards 2022 and runners-up in 2023, 2024 & 2025. We were also finalists for SEN Supporter of the Year at the EducationInvestor Awards 2025. Our mission is to transform the lives of students with SEN through personalised, holistic education.
The Opportunity
Following continued growth in our partnerships with schools and local authorities, we are seeking a Qualified Teacher (QTS) to join our expanding team. This is a dynamic role combining teacher/tutor support, case management and educational coordination. You will manage your own caseload of students referred by schools and local authorities — overseeing tuition provision from initial consultation through to measurable outcomes — while working closely with our Senior Education Consultants for collaboration, support and quality assurance.
Although home-based, this is a busy, rewarding position requiring strong organisation, commitment and attention to detail. You’ll be supporting multiple cases at once and collaborating daily with colleagues and tutors. Training sessions are held in South West London and monthly team days in Central London; commuting distance of London is required.
Career development: progression to Senior Education Consultant, mentoring and leadership of local authority relationships; structured CPD and opportunities to broaden expertise in SEN practice, safeguarding and educational leadership.
Safeguarding Commitment
Bright Heart is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Successful candidates will be required to complete safeguarding induction and annual refresher training, uphold high standards of child protection, and sign Bright Heart’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy (available on our website).
Our recruitment follows an equal opportunities policy. We aim to hire the most suitable candidates and treat applicants fairly regardless of background, gender, disability, ethnicity, age or beliefs.
We foster a diverse and inclusive working culture.
Please send your CV and a short cover letter explaining:
Only candidates with QTS and within commuting distance of London will be considered. We look forward to hearing from you and to welcoming a new colleague who shares our passion for education, inclusion, and transforming the lives of students with SEN.
Thank you for your interest.
