Overview

Job title and organisation: Level 2 SEMH Learning Support Assistant - West SILC Inclusive Learning Centre
Salary: C1 Starting Salary £20, 941 - £21,978 (actual salary)
Hours: 31.5
Contract: Permanent - Term Time Only plus 5 days
Location: West SILC School
Closing Date and Time: Wednesday 4 March at 12 Noon

Qualifications and qualities

The qualities we are looking for include:

  • Ability to relate well to children and adults and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Ability to deal effectively with students presenting challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques as appropriate
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
  • Knowledge and experience of behaviour management and restorative strategies
  • Experience of working with secondary aged students with additional needs
  • Having a driving licence is essential for this role.
  • Essential English C grade or equivalent
