Job summary

A leading manufacturing firm in Peterborough is seeking an Operations Team Leader to join its quality management team. The successful candidate will lead and coach a team of inspectors, ensuring effective manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include task assignment, quality control, and issue resolution. Ideal candidates should have strong leadership skills, be computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook), and possess problem-solving abilities. This permanent position offers competitive pay and opportunities for advancement.

Benefits

Up to £13.50 per hour
Shift allowance of 25% payrate increase after 22:00pm
Weekend overtime available
28 days holiday incl. Bank Holidays

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership skills gained within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to resolve issues promptly, within a professional manner.
  • Organised, resilient, with the ability to think outside the box.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and coaching a team of quality professionals.
  • Reviewing handover from previous shift and assigning tasks.
  • Ensuring inspectors have the relevant tooling and materials.
  • Controlling all NOK parts found during the project.
  • Identifying and resolving issues with minimal effect to production.
  • Carrying out inspection duties alongside the team as required.
