A leading support services provider in Ilkeston is seeking a Support Worker to assist individuals with autism and learning disabilities. You will promote independence, provide personal care, and help maintain community involvement through various activities. The role requires flexibility for shifts, including weekends and nights. A minimum of 28 days paid holiday, training opportunities, and a compelling values-driven work environment are offered. A strong communicator and someone with aligned values are essential for success.

Full-time 39 hours per week - Permanent
Real Life Options provide support to people with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs.
We provide individualised support packages and promote independence to enable people to live a happy fulfilled life within their own homes. The purpose-built accommodation is made of individual apartments and purpose-built bungalows.
The service comprises of 12 apartments for people with mild learning disabilities, 4 bungalows for individuals with higher complex needs and 4 bungalows for people who display behaviours of concern.
You will be supporting individuals in their own homes to live as independently as possible, this involves:
A rewarding part of the role will be encouraging participation in activities in the local community to enhance social inclusion. Seeking new opportunities for the growth and development of the people we support which could include volunteering roles and further education access.
Working on a rota, you will be required to work weekends, evenings, bank holidays with planned time off.
Flexibility to cover any of these shift patterns over the 7 day weekly period is essential.
An Enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
