Job description

Main Responsibilities

As a Social Worker in this team, you’ll:

  • Have a passion for supporting adults to achieve their full potential and want to gain further experience in improving outcomes.
  • Have the chance to support adults from the very start of their journey, reviewing their goals and ambitions.
  • Continue to promote independence and opportunities, ensuringthat these have positive outcomes.
  • Undertakeassessments, support planning, review and case management to support adults with a learning disability and/or autism ensuring that they, their families/carers and the people important to them are supported to live the life that they want to live.
The Ideal Candidate

It goes without saying, you will need a professional social work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, CSS) or other social work qualification certified by Social Work England.

You’ll be:

  • Motivated by the purpose of your role – to help and support others.
  • A real team player, you’ll be able to flex to the needs of the team.
  • A proven track record of a person centred, and asset focused outlook and you’ll have high professional standards.

Proposed Shortlisting / Interview date to manage candidate expectations, if you can’t be exact give the week beginning date. Ideally, interviews or the next stage of assessment after application should happen within 1-2 weeks of the closing date at the latest.

Interviews will be held during the week starting 2nd March 2026
