A research charity in the UK is looking for new Trustees to enhance its Board and sub-committees. The role requires individuals with various backgrounds including legal, communications, and fundraising to help oversee governance, strategic direction, and financial health. Active participation and strategic vision are essential for candidates. Opportunities exist to impact academic research across the Levant. Candidates with regional expertise are encouraged to apply, though it is not mandatory.
CBRL is a research charity which operates the UK’s overseas research institutes in Amman and Jerusalem and supports academic research across a broad range of subject areas – from archaeology to modern social science – in the Levant.
Trustees will bring their skills and experience to enrich and advise our sub-committees on matters which may include communications, fundraising, PR, media and/or legal. Regional experience in the Levant is a benefit but not essential.

The Board of Trustees are jointly responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of CBRL, its financial health, the impact of its activities and developing the organisation’s aims, objectives and goals in accordance with the governing document, legal and regulatory guidelines.
