A local council is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist adults with learning disabilities in accessing daytime opportunities. The role involves working both individually and as part of a team and requires a commitment to delivering person-centered support. Applicants should have experience with learning disabilities, good recording skills, and a full driving license. This full-time position involves 37 hours per week and is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
Cardiff Day Service is a specialist Day Service that provides support to adults with a learning disability who have complex support needs. People are supported by the service to access a wide range of valued activities and opportunities within the local community to meet their identified outcomes.
The successful applicant will work as part of an established team supporting adults with a learning disability and complex needs to access day time opportunities. The role requires the post holder to work individually and as part of a team to follow detailed support plans, contribute to the plans and provide accurate recording.
