A community charity is looking for a volunteer Assistant Bookings Clerk to manage the bookings process for Hunsdon Village Hall. Responsibilities include assisting the current clerk, monitoring the online booking system, and responding to inquiries. The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for meetings, lectures and classes, and other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.

Hunsdon Village Hall has an active schedule of regular and ad hoc hirings and we are looking for volunteer(s) to assist & help to manage the bookings process.
All training on the online booking system and the hiring policies and procedures will be given, with the optional meet and greet role and full support from the existing team.
If you have a few hours a week, have access to a home computer and the internet, are IT literate, enthusiastic and organised, please join our team to help support this community facility. It is not essential that you live in the village of Hunsdon, but it would be preferable if applicants lived within a reasonable travel time of the hall.
The village hall is a thriving community centre with lots going on. It has a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, great for meeting new people and experiencing diverse activities. You will work as part of a small, friendly team and may develop new friendships within the village. You may also improve your IT and social skills, particularly through the meet & greet element of the role.
Set in the picturesque village of Hunsdon in East Hertfordshire, the hall serves local and surrounding communities as a function venue, meeting place and activity centre. It comprises a listed building with an annex extension, a meeting room, doctors consulting room, accessible toilets and a modern kitchen. The garden is tended by volunteers from the Hunsdon Gardening Club.
The Village Hall is located in the centre of Hunsdon opposite Acorn Street and the crown public house. The role can be undertaken remotely as long as you have internet access. It is not essential to live locally but ideally should be within a reasonable travel time to the hall.
