Healthy Kids Programs is looking for a dynamic Director to lead our After School Program for the 2025‑2026 school year. As the Director, you will be the driving force behind every aspect of the operation of the Healthy Kids Program Site.

Job Details

• Job Status: Part‑Time, Non‑Exempt
• Location: Dorset Elementary School, Dorset, VT
• Pay: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour
• Hours: 2:45 pm – 5:30 pm

Job Consists Of

• Guiding compliance: Ensure that staff and the program adhere to state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and the rules set by our host school.
• Bringing the fun: Direct engaging hands‑on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum covering fitness, STEAM, academics, and arts, and ensure completion of homework.
• Managing like a boss: Maintain accurate attendance and registration records, and ensure proper staffing levels.
• Keeping everyone in the loop: Communicate with parents and family members through the Playground App.
• Team collaboration: Communicate effectively with your direct report and function as a cohesive team to provide high‑quality care and proactively tackle challenges.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• BA, BS, or Associate degree.
• At least ten months direct work experience with school‑age children, or
  • Vermont On‑the‑Job Training certificate
  • Vermont Afterschool Professional Credential
  • Vermont Program Director Credential
  • Vermont Teacher Licensure
  • Master’s degree in a youth‑related field

Qualifications

• Medically fit with clearance from a physician; free of communicable diseases including TB.
• Warm, friendly, and upbeat with excellent people skills; professional, reliable, and punctual.
• Physical ability to bend, stretch, lift and carry up to 50 lb., and to keep up with energetic children.
