A prestigious educational institution in Greater London is looking for a Library Manager for the Senior School. The successful candidate will lead library operations, manage resources, and collaborate with staff to enhance teaching and learning. The role requires previous library experience and line management skills. The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £39,000 to £41,000 annually, alongside benefits such as a pension scheme and daily lunch provisions.
The library sits at the heart of the Senior School and plays a vital role in supporting teaching and learning, fostering information literacy, and nurturing a love of reading among pupils aged 11–18.
This is a varied and rewarding role, leading and managing the Senior School Library and working closely with teaching staff, senior leaders and pupils. You will oversee library resources and facilities, deliver library and research skills teaching, support independent study, and promote reading for pleasure across the school.
Full-time, five days per week.
8.00am–5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 8.00am–4.00pm on Fridays (30-minute lunch break).
This is not a term-time-only role and will require attendance during some school holidays to support library management tasks. There may be limited flexibility to slightly reduce hours, subject to discussion at interview.
