A supportive organization for individuals with disabilities in Chertsey seeks a Support Worker to help children and young people engage in safe, creative activities tailored to their development needs. The ideal candidate has experience working with individuals with disabilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide personal and emotional support. This role offers a salary of £12.21 per hour, 38 days of annual leave, and promotes a culture of progression and development.
White Lodge enables those with disabilities, their families, and their carers to lead fulfilling lives. Supporting over 2,500 individuals across Surrey, we offer a diverse range of services for all ages and abilities. Our wonderful site in Chertsey houses three specialist buildings, each with great facilities and services. These include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, a specialist nursery, hydrotherapy, holiday clubs, personal support in the home, short breaks, fitness and rehabilitation.
As a Support Worker, you will help children and young people enjoy safe, engaging, and creative play and leisure activities that support their development and wellbeing.
Working closely with each young person and their “All About Me” guidance, you’ll plan and support activities that are fun, inclusive, and tailored to individual needs.
You’ll also provide assistance with personal care, mealtimes, communication, and physical comfort, always respecting privacy and dignity.
