Job description

Green Girl Garden Care is looking for an experienced and friendly person to join our small garden maintenance business. The business operates in and around Brighton and Hove and involves all aspects of garden maintenance for a variety of residential and commercial customers.

The successful candidate will need to be fit, hard working in all types of weather throughout the year, take pride in their work and have excellent communication skills and good time keeping. You will also need to be able to work independently using your own initiative and as part of a team.

Attributes which are essential for the candidate:

• A full, clean driving license valid in the UK.
• You must be able to pass a Criminal Record Bureau check.
• At least 2 years experience working in garden maintenance using petrol mowers, strimmers and hedge cutters and a good knowledge of plants.
• You must also be presentable and articulate, and able to communicate in good English.
• Reliable and with excellent time keeping.

Attributes which are desirable for the candidate:

• Spraying certificate PA1/6.
• Completed a first aid course.
• Knowledge of garden machinery maintenance.

If successful and after a 2 month trial period the role would be permanent and full time in summer/part time in winter.

Pay dependant on experience and qualifications.
