A leading family support service in Bournemouth is seeking an experienced Social Worker for a Residential Family Assessment Centre. The role involves conducting parenting assessments within a supportive, trauma-informed environment. Candidates should have a social work qualification and experience in child protection or family assessments. Benefits include manageable caseloads and opportunities for continuous professional development, including training on the ParentAssess model.
Leaders in Care are working alongside a small, supportive, therapeutic trauma-informed family assessment centre based in the Bournemouth area, for an experienced children's social worker to provide parenting assessments for parents who need additional support to care safely for their children.
Practice is based on the ParentAssess model, so experience using this previously is desirable.
In this role will lead residential parenting assessments within the centre, ensuring all work is evidence-based, transparent, and centred on the child’s welfare.
For this role, you will require experience in child protection, court work, or family assessment is essential, along with the ability to produce clear, analytical, evidence-based reports.
The role suits a reflective and confident practitioner who values relationship-based practice, understands the impact of trauma, and is motivated to work within a small, supportive, and values-led service. Experience using ParentAssess is desirable but full training will be provided.
As this is a statutory role, you do require a social work qualification & registration to Social Work England.
