Details

Working closely with the wider team across all our fundraising streams, you will help deliver and develop our fundraising function, contributing to an annual income of approximately £1.8m.

You will support the team with a range of fundraising administration, ensuring accurate processing and recording of donations and helping to keep systems and financial information up to date. Alongside this, you will support the creation of engaging and persuasive proposals for funders, grounded in Future Youth Zone’s seven-day-a-week provision. You will also help engage individual donors and steward relationships with trusts, corporates and other stakeholders, including through fundraising events that strengthen our partnerships and support our work.

This is a unique opportunity to join Future Youth Zone at an exciting moment, as we begin delivering our new three-year strategy from 2026.

Future was the first Youth Zone in London opened by the national charity, OnSide in Spring 2019.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the fundraising inbox and respond to supporter and donor enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Thank individual donors appropriately and support effective donor stewardship.
  • Accurately log fundraising activities, campaigns, donations, emails, calls, tasks and documents on our CRM (Salesforce).
  • Support fundraising mailouts, appeals and campaigns, including drafting stewardship and campaign-related emails.
  • Code income on bank statements and update Salesforce with income received.
  • Upload income from platforms such as Stripe and JustGiving to Salesforce, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.
  • Donor and grant fundraising: Manage a portfolio of donors and prospects, identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding relationships in line with an agreed annual income target.
  • Identify and research trusts, foundations and corporate foundations that are suitable prospects for Future Youth Zone.
  • Monitor funding alerts and maintain a clear pipeline of planned funding applications.
  • Prepare high-quality written applications and bi-annual mailouts to small and medium trusts, foundations and corporate foundations.
  • Produce timely, engaging and accessible project reports that inspire funders and strengthen long-term relationships.
