A Catholic primary school in Greater London is seeking a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to support SEND children across all primary age levels. The position offers a one-year contract starting in March/April 2026, with working hours from 8:30am to 3:45pm during term time. Candidates should have good literacy and numeracy skills, along with experience in special needs education. The school promotes a positive and collaborative community, providing excellent resources for both staff and students.
We are looking to appoint a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team at St Catherine’s. This position is offered as one year contract initially and will commence in March/April 2026. Candidates should have experience of, or a passion for, working with SEND children and be willing to work across the whole primary age range.
Hours will be 8:30am - 3:45pm, Monday - Friday Term Time Only

You must have sound knowledge of how children learn and a number of strategies to encourage learning. You will need to be sensitive to the special needs of individual children and be able to work as part of a team. Previous experience of working with special needs children and running intervention groups would be useful. Candidates will need to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
Salary from £32,070 to £33,012 per year FTE
