The Headteacher and Governing Body of St.Gregory’s Catholic Primary School, Sandy Lane, Lydiate, wish to appoint TWO experienced, highly skilled and motivated 1:1 Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support two children in Early Years and KS1. The post is fixed term on an annual basis, as it is subject to SEN funding, or for as long as the child is at St.Gregory’s Primary School.

We are looking to appoint two Level 2 Teaching Assistants with SEND support who are excited about supporting our school mission and further growing within the values.
The ideal candidates will have knowledge and experience of providing support for children in their learning, including providing additional support through one to one and small group sessions.
The successful candidates will work closely with the class teachers and provide support delivering the curriculum, whilst providing excellent care and guidance, promoting inclusion within the school setting.

Shortlisting of this post will take place week commencing Monday 23rd February 2026 and observations/ interviews will be held during this week. Successfully shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a short observation in school, followed by an interview, if successful after the observation.
